Paul Faraci has been practicing primarily civil trial defense since 1995. He has extensive experience in the area of professional liability defense, including healthcare, accounting, and legal malpractice. He has represented clients in many other areas of civil law such as personal injury, construction, directors and officers, agency, entity disputes, and general commercial litigation. Paul routinely represents professionals in administrative and credentialing matters before peer review committees and licensing boards. He has tried more than 20 civil cases, most of which were multi-week jury trials. Paul routinely handles cases involving large damages claims and the potential for excess verdicts. He also represents clients in all stages of the appeal process.
In 1990, Paul graduated from Williams College, in Williamstown, Massachusetts, with a B.A. in philosophy. He graduated second in his class from the University of Denver College of Law in 1995. He received multiple awards there and was a General Editor of the Law Review. He is admitted to practice in Colorado state courts, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Paul is a member of the local bar associations and the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association. He has been selected to Super Lawyers, a peer nominated award, every year from 2009 to the present.

Lisa Leasure has been in practice since 1999. Prior to joining Faraci Leasure, LLC, Lisa was a partner in the law firm of Cooper & Clough, P.C. Lisa’s practice focuses on defense of professional liability claims with an emphasis on medical malpractice claims and administrative matters for healthcare professionals. She also defends premises liability, liquor liability, employment, intellectual property, and other general defense matters for several large entities including universities and national restaurants. Lisa has significant trial experience and has tried many complex cases with multi week trials through verdict.
Lisa received her undergraduate degree from CU Boulder and graduated from the law school at the University of Maine. She was selected to Maine Law Review and served as Case Note Editor and her article was published. She also served in the coveted position of legal writing instructor and graduated with honors. Lisa graduated from the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy in 2003, attended CU Mini Med School in 2006 and CU Mini Med School II, The Clinical Years, in 2016 and 2017. She is licensed in all Colorado courts and is a member of the local bar associations, the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, and DRI. She has been selected to Super Lawyers, a peer nominated award, as a Super Lawyer every year from 2011 to the present. Lisa is a Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), Defense Research Institute (DRI), CDLA, and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Lisa has given invited lectures for several organizations including DRI and CDLA.

Denise has devoted her career to the defense of health care providers and other professionals and has been in practice since 1996. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Juris Doctorate with Distinction from the University of Oklahoma in 1995. While in law school, Denise received awards in Insurance Law and Appellate Advocacy and served as the Associate Editor for the American Indian Law Review. Denise is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Colorado and Oklahoma. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, and the Oklahoma Bar Association. She previously served as Chair of the Professional Liability Committee and Vice-Chair of the Medical Malpractice Committee for the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association.
Denise is experienced in defending claims related to medical malpractice, physician credentialing and peer review, HIPAA and EMTALA compliance, and premises and automobile liability. She has represented individual and corporate clients in administrative actions and litigation involving professional liability, health care collections, products liability, wrongful termination, subrogation, and mass torts. She also assists health care and employer clients with consulting services, in-service education on loss prevention and risk management, and preparation of policies and procedures.

Prior to joining Faraci Leasure, LLC, Sara worked on matters involving employment and housing law. Sara graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in 2021. During her time there, Sara was a Student Attorney in the University of Colorado’s Civil Law where she was able to represent clients as well as participate in numerous internships throughout law school. Charles Wood is an associate attorney who focuses on professional liability defense with an emphasis on medical malpractice claims. Charles has a background in civil litigation and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of civil matters, such as business and commercial disputes, breach of contract, oil and gas, and real estate.
Charles earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2021 and gained experience as a law clerk for a general practice firm while completing his legal education. Charles graduated from the University of Texas where he majored in political science and completed a certificate in business. Prior to law school, Charles was a legislative director and campaign manager for various members of the Texas State Legislature. He is admitted to practice in Colorado state courts and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Charles is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association.
